2022 Edition

The 2022 edition of the Camper’s Guide featuring California National Natural Landmarks and Monuments is ready for distribution. The newly formatted issue is sure to be a hit with your campers!
All member parks will be receiving guides in the coming weeks but don’t hesitate to call the office for more if you run out. Shipping is free for members!

Cal Travel Update
In tourism-related legislative news, Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath (Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, and Encinitas) was named the new Chair of Assembly Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism, and Internet Media. She replaces Assemblymember Sharon Quirk-Silva (Fullerton) who was recently appointed Chair of another committee. We consider Assemblymember Boerner Horvath a tourism ally and look forward to working closely with her. 

The State Legislative session resumed January 4th, and an anticipated 2,000+ bills will be introduced between today and the February 18 bill introduction deadline. A complete list of bills CalTravel tracks and positions on will be available on the CalTravel website in our legislative toolkit, HERE as the session moves forward.
International Sportsman's Expo
January 20-23, 2022
Our Camp-California Marketing team will be attending the upcoming 2022 International Sportsmen’s Expo as an exhibitor! The ISE is scheduled to take place at Cal Expo in Sacramento January 20-23 and attendance is open to all! Tickets are only $16 and available through the Sport's Expo website.

These events provide us with a great opportunity to promote our member parks and spread awareness and excitement surrounding the outdoor hospitality industry as a whole. Upon our last attendance at the International Sportsmen’s Expo, we were able to get copies of the Camper’s Guide to California into the hands of 4,000 outdoor enthusiasts! If you plan to attend, stop by to see us and maybe even win a prize! For more information on attending the ISE, including the full list of exhibitors check out their website.

Launch Pointe Recreation Destination and RV Park

Right off the shores of Lake Elsinore in Riverside County, there is a little something for everyone to be found at Launch Pointe Recreation Destination and RV Park. On site boat rentals are a convenient way for families or individuals to spend the day out on the lake hanging out or fishing before returning to camp for the night. For travelers who do not own their own rigs, Launch Pointe has a lovely selection of made over vintage trailers as well as glamping yurts. Between the on site restaurant, the bait and tackle shop, and the playgrounds, there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
