From our front door to... adventure!
There's so much to do in these mountains: from horseback riding to whitewater rafting, from antique hunting to world class wineries.
Guests are mountain biking, kayaking and hiking... and then exploring the breweries and distilleries for a well-deserved drink. So whether your taste is shopping on Main Street, riding the scenic railway or fly fishing in the nearby creeks and rivers, we've got you covered.
The Inn is right in the middle of everything, walkable to the shops, restaurants and nightlife of downtown Blue Ridge and a short drive to all of the epic outdoor adventures we're famous for.
Follow us on Instagram or Facebook to get a taste of what's in store on your visit. We also highly recommend just taking it easy with a book or magazine and a cup of tea; that's one of the best ways to spend your time at the Inn.
With a front row seat to the best of Blue Ridge, you can't ask for a more central and convenient place to stay. Come to the mountains!
Your friends at the Blue Ridge Inn,
Bobby Jean, Cheri', Keith, John, Teresa & Terra

Pteridomania or Fern-Fever was a Victorian craze for ferns. Our front and back porch are festooned with hanging Boston ferns, there's a maiden's hair fern on the parlor mantle and the front door is flanked by a couple of potted ferns. You might say we've got Pteridomania, too. So much so that the staircase now features wallpaper of ferns celebrating our Victorian home, and it's original owners' (probable) love of ferns as well.
We'd love to one day have a greenhouse on site to grow and cultivate an eclectic variety of ferns and palms to pay homage to this oh so Victorian fascination.
We're also happy to report that not one but two of our porch hanging ferns have become home to birds nests with little chicks now in them. Check the Instagram for updates.

Oh my goodness, this place is amazing! I’m so glad I found it. It was perfect for my husband and I. Staff is amazing. So friendly and welcoming. There is nothing they haven’t thought of.
From afternoon cookies, a glass of wine whilst relaxing in a rocking chair on the front porch to an incredible sit-down breakfast artfully prepared and served by Teresa and Cheri’, one couldn’t ask for a more comfortable Inn experience!
The location is perfect. We could walk to all downtown shops and restaurants. In addition, it was an easy drive to waterfalls, hiking trails, and surrounding towns. We have already started making plans for the fall, so we can see the foliage. I think this will be the first of many visits to the Inn!

We love some good music around here. All of us at the inn have deep connections to so many kinds of music and there's almost always some great sounds wafting down the halls and onto the porch.
The early mornings often find us beginning the day with classical tunes; at breakfast things get a little jazzier; afternoons may see classic rock, bluegrass and Americana.
We've curated a careful collection of the music we love and listen to for you to enjoy anytime anywhere. There are also QR codes in the rooms to scan and enjoy the playlists during your stay.
