Join us for our annual “YUUth Sunday” where the FUUSB Youth Group leads the Sunday Service. After spending the night in the Meeting House for their first “Lock-In” since before the pandemic, the Youth will awake, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, to share a brand-new, soon-to-be classic, tale with the community about… “The Meaning of Happiness.” Music and drama and lots of heart, and a chance for each to play a part. This will include an opportunity to join the Youth in supporting COTS (Committee on Temporary Shelter), so bring your cash and checkbooks, please! We very much look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
Join us for worship in person in the Sanctuary, or online. The livestream link and order of service will be shared at bit.ly/FUUSBWorship, or visit our YouTube channel. While inside the Meeting House, masks are strongly encouraged.
Following the service, all are welcome to Coffee Hour in the Community Room.
Children & Youth Together This Sunday!
Margo Whitcomb, Faith Development Assistant
Sunday, March 26
All of us will be together in the Sanctuary this special Sunday - though the Nursery will be open for the youngest of us! The Nursery is open for drop-offs as early as 9:45 a.m., so come on down. Let’s celebrate spring and “Happiness” with our own FUUSB YUUth leading this Sunday service.
Game Night
Erika Reif, Director of Lifespan Faith Development
Saturday, March 25, 4:30-7:30 p.m. - Community Room
All ages are invited to play, eat, and be together!
We have lots of games at the ready, but feel free to bring the one you want to play. There are generally several things happening at once. It's okay to come with a group of friends and the intention to play a particular game. You can bring children and play with them or have them play with childcare staff while you try out a game with an older crowd. Make it what you want!
We'll have a "no-stress" potluck; you can wow us with your culinary skills or pick up a loaf of bread and a tub of hummus from the market. The point is to have fun together and not go hungry. We'll have coffee and tea available, plates and utensils.
Come for a little bit or stay the whole time. Come ready to make new friends and reconnect with the old!
From the Ministerial Search Team
Tom Hyde
By the time you read this, your search team will have finished sifting through the information we have gathered about our pre-candidates in interviews, references, worship services, and websites. Now, we are in contemplative (and still confidential) dialogue, to determine which of them we should present to the congregation.
Each of us may have favorites, but all of our pre-candidates are excellent, so our perspectives can and will change as we hear and understand each other's thoughts.
Once we decide, there are still several steps we will need to take before we can announce the final candidate to the congregation. But we are just as excited as you are!
Nina Harrington, Spring Auction Committee
Springtime in Vermont, this year’s UU online auction, needs your donations! To make our financial goal of $12,000 we need at least 100 donations. Please go to the website (auctria.events/FUUSBSpringAuction2023) and enter an event, outing, get-together or gift certificate that will help build community and push us toward our goal. And don’t forget, this year we will celebrate with a live event including food, music, raffles and loads of fundraising fun! Please contact [email protected] if you have questions or need help.

Picnic Celebration - June 11 at 1 pm
Kameron McConnell, Transition Team
On Sunday, June 11 we will gather to picnic and celebrate! The Transition Team needs help providing the feast and the fixings! Sandwiches, rolls, drumsticks and eggs - whatever finger foods you fancy! Hold the date on your calendar for now. Next month we'll ask you to tell us what you dreamed up and can commit to bringing. Help will also be needed with setup and cleanup. All are welcome to attend in the name of giving Reverend Tricia a joyful send-off to retirement!
