New Year - New Look!
Welcome to the NEW Chamber Weekly newsletter! This past year, our “10% Committee”, made up of our Chamber board members have been meeting with a few of our members. Their goal was to find out what the membership wants to see from the Chamber moving forward. One of the suggestions that kept coming up was a way to better communicate with the members and cut down on the number of emails they receive from us. So, after several meetings, the staff has come up with a new format on the way we will be communicating with you, our members.

Every Monday, you will receive one email from us that will tell you everything that is going on that week. Whether that be with our Chamber committees, Chamber events or community events. This will have links to where you can sign up to sponsor events or volunteer for events. It will be your one-stop-shop on what is happening with all things Chamber and Hastings related.

Then every Thursday, you will receive another email that may include a Business after Hours event flyer and all of our paid advertisement from the membership, informing you of their business activities and advertisements. So, moving forward if your business is wanting to put something into the Business-to-Business email, you will need to send us your flyer by Wednesday at noon.

With all of these changes, I am sure there will be some growing pains. If this last year has taught us anything, it is that WE CAN LEARN to change and adapt.

It will definitely be one to remember! Thank you to the Longfellow students for coming out and singing for us. The tornado warning came across just as the kids were in the middle of their songs, so down to the basement we went. Thank you to the United Way of South Central Nebraska staff for helping us keep the kids entertained in the basement with card games while we filled their tummies with cookies.
