Boys Cross Country: Conference Champions!



The Boys XC Bulldogs defended their Conference title! Cooper Marrs won in 17:16, followed by Brady Norman (17:20), Jack O’Brien (17:20), Asa Kahle (17:21), Will Kallas (17:22), Brennan Lester (17:23), and Diego Lopez-Molina (17:31). Congratulations!

Girl Cross Country: Conference Champions!


The Girls XC Bulldogs won their first conference title since 2017! Gianna Gelb (21:10) placed second, and Lily Kocourek (22:01), Maria Dalton (22:18), Maia Nelson (22:43), and Rebecca Dosek (22:48) were fourth through seventh for top-10 all-conference honors.

Students Attend ComEd Career Fair!


ComEd is one of the largest companies in Illinois and employs more than 6,200 employees. They conducted a Career Fair at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates. Our students participated in interactive exhibits designed to spark their curiosity to learn more about what a future in the energy industry would look like. We heard directly from the CEO and learned about employment opportunities in Accounting and Finance, Communications, Marketing, HR, Occupational Health, IT, Legal, and more.

AP Art Studio Field Trip to Museum of Mexican Art


AP Studio Art students took a field trip to the National Museum of Mexican Art! Students got to learn more about Mexican art and culture through collections of Mexican art, visual and performing arts programs, and resources and professional development of Mexican artists.

Illustrator and Photoshop Student Bingo Cards


The Illustrator and Photoshop students completed a Team Based Challenge working for The Village of Indian Head Park. Their request was to have students design a bingo/hunt card for their Annual Ghost and Goblins Fest. The village was so impressed with the students' work that they selected 5 of the cards to use at their festival! The bingo card above is the first place winner from Isaac (Juan) Granciano!


2023 AP Art Exhibition


2023 graduate Christian Varela was selected as one of only 50 AP Studio artists in the nation for the 2023 online AP Art Exhibition. His work will serve as a best in show example for students in the program for many years to come. This site is referenced frequently while teaching for a point of reference/high standard examples for AP Studio classes. Christian is currently a freshman at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and earned a scholarship to attend this art school based on this incredible work he made for his AP Studio Art 3D portfolio.

Fall Band and Orchestra Concert


On Wednesday, the Band and Orchestra performed at their Fall Concert! The Mariachi Band had their first ever live performance and performed the song La Llorona. Students wore costumes while they played music for the RB community to enjoy.

Cybersecurity Club CyberStart Challenge!


RBHS Cybersecurity Club is kicking off the 2023-2024 CyberStart challenge season for all ability levels. You’ll get access to over 200 unique security challenges which you'll solve as a cybersecurity agent investigating criminal gangs. Complete as many challenges as you can in CyberStart and you may qualify for training scholarship opportunities offered by the National Cyber Scholarship Foundation! Institute Day: October 20

The RB staff had another successful Institute Day full of learning and growth opportunities. Our Assistant Principal of Student Affairs, Dave Mannon, gave a Stop the Bleed presentation, where staff learned how to respond to incidents involving life-threatening bleeding. Also, staff got to attend up to 3 professional development sessions. These included:
