Reflections

From Mary Fagnano, Nick's mom, Thrive in Joy Co-founder and Executive Director

It’s the sheer wonder of growth that inspires this year’s Thrive in Joy Nick Fagnano Foundation’s annual 11 Days of Giving campaign beginning 11/1 and ending 11/11.

At this time last year we never dreamed Thrive in Joy's C11 program would be inspiring students in three Los Angeles high schools plus a high school in South Africa and another in the Dominican Republic!

The impact of our mission-- encouraging young people to discover their character strengths and the joy of service through programs inspired by Nick's life, is evident in the stories students have shared with me over the past ten months. I've heard these students speak of their personal development, academic success, and the confidence Thrive in Joy has given them to be prepared for college and live a meaningful life. Most of the students in our program are from low-income communities and would otherwise not have access to the opportunities C11 provides.

The button below allows you to do two things: 1) make a personal contribution to expand the reach of Thrive in Joy's programs and 2) opt to create your own crowdfunding page to tell your friends about Thrive in Joy and why it's a cause you support. Your donation, of any size, along with the multiplier of sharing this campaign with your friends, will bring us closer to our 11 Days of Giving goal of $111,111 by 11/11-- and the hope we can reach our year-end goal of $222,222 by 1/11! Thank you for allowing Nick's story to help young people overcome life's challenges and plant seeds of growth and change in their communities.
