Unique and interesting items are featured in this month's Bid Box.


Our "Bid Box" contains valuable jewelry, fine items, artwork and collectibles. The silent auction format allows customers to secretly bid on items they wish to buy, by bidding at least the opening bid amount shown

for any item. You can bid for as many items as you wish.

In addition to placing bids in person at our Thrift Shop,

Fabulous Foo Dogs



This colorful pair of vintage Chinese ceramic foo dogs stands ready to protect your home from danger. They are 11-1/2 inches tall and their fierce expression is sure to scare away any evil spirits. (Is it possible for a creature to be both endearing and menacing at once?)

Sterling Silver & Diamond Pendant

This sterling silver pendant sparkles with several tiny pave set diamonds, including in the bale. The open floral design adds interest. The pendant measures 7/8 inch wide and dangles 1 inch long from the bale. It awaits your silver chain.

Father Damien Watercolor

Father Damien or Saint Damien of Molokai (1840-1889) famously attended to the needs of leprosy patients in medical quarantine in Kalaupapa, on the island of Molokai. This simple watercolor, by Willa T. Malia, captures the gentle spirit of this courageous man. The framed and matted piece is 12 inches x 15 inches.

14k Gold & Diamond Hawaiian Ring

Three diamonds are featured at the center of this 14k gold Hawaiian Heirloom ring. The letters 'M' and 'R' flank the diamonds. The band is 5/16 inch at its widest point. The ring contains 7 grams of gold and is

size 8-1/2.

Chinese Tea Set



Tea party to go! This Chinese ceramic tea pot and two tea cups are in the Famille Rose pattern and fit neatly into their lined and latched wicker carrying basket. The closed basket is 7-1/2 inches tall x 11-1/4 inches wide. The teapot stands 6-1/2 inches tall and each cup stands 2-1/4 inches tall, holding about 4 oz. of tea.

Jade Earrings

These striking enhanced green jade donut disks measure 7/8 inch in diameter and are suspended from elaborately-knotted black cord. The pierced earrings dangle 1-3/4 inches long.

Rosewood Trinket Box

This unusual hand-carved box is made of Indian Rosewood and is signed by the artist. The lidded box is 5 inches tall x 2-1/4 inches x 1-1/2 inches. Imagine what tiny treasure could be stored in this beautiful little box.

Polynesian Shell Necklace

This long Polynesian shell necklace is intricately strung with tiny cream and beige shells. The necklace is 32-1/2 inches long, allowing for doubling around your neck. This is a great way to accent your island attire.

This 37-piece Reed & Barton stainless flatware set is in the "Revolution" pattern. It includes six 5-piece place settings, four iced tea spoons, and four serving pieces. (Full disclosure: One teaspoon is missing.) The weight and glimmering finish of these pieces attest to their quality.

This beautiful ring features 11 striking pink sapphires in a sterling silver setting. Several tiny white sapphires provide extra sparkle along the sides of the band. The ring is size 7.

World War II Philippine Pesos



This framed collection of Philippine pesos captures a piece of history. This Philippine currency was issued by the Japanese government during the Japanese occupation of World War II. One, five and ten peso bills are matted and framed beneath glass. The framed piece measures

8 inches x 10 inches.

Coral & 14k Gold Earrings

These coral earrings are simple but elegant. Each coral ball is a generous 9mm in size, and the 14k gold screw backs allow anyone to wear them.

These initials are a reminder to think through our decisions and actions from the perspective of "What Would Jesus Do?". The 14k gold pendant is 5/8 inch wide and dangles 3/8 inch from its 14k gold bale. The pendant is ready for your gold chain.

Lladro Cat Figurine

This adorable Lladro figurine is titled "Feed Me". The curious kitty stands 5-1/2 inches tall and has the characteristic Spanish Lladro muted colors. Did you just hear a meowing sound?

What do we do with the money raised from our Bid Box and our Thrift Shop?


Your Bid Box and Thrift Shop purchases help to fund our programs, such as Operation School Bell, providing new school clothing to students in need. We also have educational programs, such as Operation Wildlife, stressing the importance of conservation and care for our environment and its creatures. We accept donations of gently-used merchandise ONLY on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays during our open hours. We do appreciate your donations and thank you for thinking of our organization with your treasures.

Please do not leave donations outside our door when we are closed.
