OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of breast cancer. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Although breast cancer is not an illness that can be prevented, one can still be proactive about our health. Early detection is key to a successful outcome. The statistic shows that when breast cancer is detected early and is in the localized stage, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%.

Take control of your life and do monthly breast self-exams and schedule regular clinical breast exams and mammograms.
