Join us Saturday April 15th from 10 a.m. - noon for the Gillespie Museum's Earth Day celebration. We'll have fun activities to help you better discover the WONDERS of our amazing Earth! Look under a microscope to discover the world of plankton in a drop of pond water, explore the Volusia Sandhill to observe pollinators at work, visit our two NEW exhibits to marvel at fossils and the world beyond our Earth, and adopt a wildflower.
This Earth Day, help us help our neighbors! We will be hosting a donation drive for the Neighborhood Center during our Science Saturday Earth Day program. The Neighborhood Center is a West Volusia nonprofit organization that provides a free food pantry for those who are hungry and emergency shelter for those without a place to stay. If you are able, bring an item to donate with you. Requested items are new-in-package, non-perishable and dry goods along with any type of household and toiletry items. These include but are not limited to crackers, rice, pet food, toothbrushes, water bottles, hygiene products, diapers, towels, books, razors, etc. We appreciate you working with us to help support our community!
