Coffee With Our Cops-next Monday

.....All Fondren residents and businesses are invited to get to know the law enforcement officers serving our area, and ask questions related to crime and crime prevention at our first Coffee With Our Cops meeting on Monday, March 27, 9 a.m. at Homewood Suites.

.....To start off the meeting, Lt. Jeremy Gordon with Capitol Police, will provide information on trespassing laws. Free NO TRESPASSING signs will be available.

.....Representatives from Capitol Police and Jackson Police Department will be on hand, as well as Fondren Business District Security Chief Cory Whitlock.

.....Coffee and snacks will be available.

Chris Hannibal joins FRF Board

.....The FRF Board of Directors voted Christopher Hannibal as the Board's newest member at its March meeting.

.....Hannibal has served on various FRF committees and task forces, and is also slated to serve as the 2024 Renaissance Society Chair.

.....Hannibal has been a Fondren resident since 2018. A graduate of Old Miss and UMMC with a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, he works as a home health physical therapist, serving patients across Hinds County.

.....In 2018, he also earned his realtors license and works as an agent for The Furr Group.

....."I absolutely love promoting Fondren and bringing new residents into the neighborhood," he says.

.....In his free time, Chris is an avid runner and has completed more than 15 marathons across the country.

....."I also enjoy gardening, home renovation projects, weekend getaways, Old Miss sports and anything related to dachshunds!" he says.

Renaissance Society surpasses goal

.....Congratulations to 2023 Renaissance Society co-chairs Edley Jones and Brenda Ware Jones for a successful 2023 membership campaign!

.....This year's membership has grown to 105, exceeding its goal and setting a record for annual membership, with 13 new members and 28 sustaining members who have supported FRF for more than 10 years.

.....Renaissance Society members provide the basic operating budget for the Renaissance Foundation each year.

JXN Flea at Trustmark for Fondren Live

.....JXN Flea brings back a host of shopping opportunities for April 6 Fondren Live - this year to be staged in the parking lot of Trustmark Bank. The market opens at 5:30 p.m.

.....JXN Flea features local top vendors of antiques, furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles, and more, as well as an extremely curated selection of jewelry, art, and crafts by local artisans and designers. Live music is planned for the marketplace.

.....A limited number of Non-profits can also apply for space.

.....Don't miss The Bean's next Songwriter Round on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. 100% of the proceeds go to the artists. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Volunteers Needed: USA IBC

.....Volunteers are the lifeblood of the USA International Ballet Competition. The competition is scheduled for June 10 - 24.

....."We invite and value the support of friends and neighbors far and wide who want the USA IBC to succeed," said Fondren resident and Volunteer Coordinator Debbie Good.
