Hello Middle School Families!

My name is Whitney Eads, and I am the director/choreographer of the middle school musical. I also teach Creative Expressions and the theatre electives in grades 6-12.

This year, we are producing (on stage!!!) Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical Jr., and there are so many outstanding parts that we need our talented middle school students to fill.

Actors
If your children are interested in acting, there is an Audition Workshop on Wednesday, October 20. Your children will learn the ins and outs of auditioning, and they will become familiar with both audition songs. Students can attend during “Flex” period or after school from 3:30-4:00 p.m., but RSVPs are required. After-school attendees will also need a ride home promptly at 4:00 p.m. To sign up for the Audition Workshop, please click here.

Auditions will occur Monday and Tuesday, October 25-26, with invited callbacks on Wednesday the 27th from 3:30-5:00 p.m. each day. Sign-ups for auditions are posted on my bulletin board just down the hall from the Creative Expressions room. In order to be cast, students and parents must fill out the Audition Packet and the Musical Note about COVID. This paperwork is due at the time of your children’s auditions. All who audition are cast.

Crew
If your children are interested in helping to create the set and props (all grades) or be on running crew (eighth-graders only), sign-ups will occur with Luke Howard starting November 1. More information about sign-ups will come out that week.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me!
