VOLUNTEERS NEEDED _2_.png

The Gloucester Timeline:

A Multimedia History of Cape Ann

Gloucester’s 400+ Committee is seeking qualified volunteers to work on one of its signature projects- The Gloucester Timeline: A Multimedia History of Cape Ann.

Local archivists, historians, writers, and artists are all being asked to contribute to an interactive, multimedia timeline that will be shared and stored on the web for 2023 and beyond. This wonderful research tool will contain images, videos, and audio recordings along with written descriptions of key events and notable personalities in Cape Ann's history. Gloucester 400+, Sawyer Free Library, Cape Ann Museum, and Gloucester City Archives are all supporting this effort but much more help is required. Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of tasks:

  • Historical research
  • Short, descriptive writing
  • Fact-checking
  • Data input

If interested, please contact Local History Librarian, Julie Travers at jtravers@sawyerfreelibray.org.
