Fall Colors
I love the beautiful color change of all the leaves that every fall season brings with it. The beauty of God’s creation simply cannot be missed. But did you know that a leaf only changes color when it dies? When the cholorphyll from the live leaf stops flowing, the leaf begins to show its true colors. Likewise, when we die to ourselves on a spiritual level we are then able to display the God-given nature within us. And just as leaves fall and grow anew, we are called to shed bitterness, rage, anger, slander, and malice and to bloom again in kindness, love, and compassion. The season changes are truly a beautiful reflection of our spiritual lives and the seasons of life God carries us through.
