When I was 15 years old, I went to a youth group every Wednesday night to hang out with friends from my school. I was born and raised in the church, but I didn’t have a real relationship with Jesus. One summer I went with the youth group to a conference where Hillsong United (a modern worship band) would be leading worship. I was super excited to go to a service where a famous worship band would be playing, but little did I know this night would forever change me and the trajectory of my life. I encountered the presence of God for the first time and it really marked me for His glory. From that point on there was no denying that Jesus was real and that I wanted to live my life serving him with my gifts and talents. Fast forward a few years and I started using my talents in music to lead worship and have been ever since.

We are so excited to be hosting our own worship nights at The Table. These nights were originally started to set aside extra time, away from the hustle and bustle, to seek the face of Jesus, to seek refreshing for those who need it and healing for those in need of a touch from God. On January 27 at 7:00 p.m., we will be co-hosting this month's worship night with Celebración as we join together as one church singing the praises of Jesus in both languages native to our church family. I am reminded of the powerful move of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 when the disciples began to preach the good news in multiple languages after they received the Holy Spirit promised by Jesus.

This is our heart at The Table for this next year as we begin with a worship night in celebration of our multiethnic community, that just as the disciples did in the upper room, we would call upon the name of Jesus and receive all that He has to offer us.
