Dear Parents,

This week was a short one but certainly filled with lots of excitement.

This week our students in VPK, Orange, Silver, and Gold had an on-site field trip on the Jungle Gym. The kids loved jamming to the music as they learned new fitness moves. Anyone in those classes that was in attendance was billed a $6 fee for this field trip. Kids in our Main Wing (Red, Yellow, Blue, & Rainbow) were treated to a storytime event compliments of our Country Walk Public Library. The kids loved listening to the storyteller!

Thank you to all the parents who signed the Distracted Driver and H1N1 list. When we are inspected by DCF, they will require we show proof of that. We will have to do it again in February, so bear with us.

Mid-September, we will also be asking all families to fill in a new Childcare Food form. I know everyone has one on file, but the Department of Health requires that we have the forms redone every October for their fiscal year. If you have had no changes, you can copy the same information on the new form. Your assistance with this is greatly appreciated.

Please note our Annual Halloween Happening is on our calendar for October 27th. We will need to change that date to October 26th. This year we will be inviting parents to join us! We are so excited about that. More information about that to follow. Families will be asked to donate a bag of candy to go to the local homeless shelter for homeless kids and to also bring in a bag or box of NON candy items (fruit snacks, goldfish, little Halloween toys, or goodies) for our costume parade. I mention this now as you will start to see all kinds of cute things in the stores like the little Play-Doh or themed non-candy treats. You may wish to grab them when you see them!

A word about fees....We try and spread out the annual fees to make it easier on families. The Oral fee was billed the first week of school. On Monday the supply fee will be billed (there is a second one in February for VPK and K/1). The last Monday in September the final fee, technology fee for the Brightwheel app will be billed. If you are not on auto-pay, please take a moment to review your invoice this weekend and send over the payment. Thank you for your assistance with this.
