Second Semester Exam Schedule

Finding God in All Things
May 3, 2022
Dear O'Dowd Students and Families,

This note contains information for final exam week, which begins Monday, May 23.

Schedule
The schedule for finals week is as follows. Certain courses do not require a final exam. Students, consult with your teacher if you are unclear about expectations.
Transportation
AC Transit 680 and 682 buses will remain on their regular schedule. This means that morning pick-up will be unaffected. However, finals end between 1:00-1:45pm and the 680 and 682 will pick up at their usual afternoon time of 3:17pm.

For students who want an earlier public transportation option, O'Dowd's BART Shuttle will depart at 1:15pm and 2:00pm for San Leandro BART.

If your student is not a regular BART shuttle rider, they need to submit a signed participation form to Mr. Gerald Bennett, in Dominican Hall Office #7 or the Main Office. If you have any questions regarding BART, please contact Mr. Bennett at (510) 577-9100, ext. 193.

Note, there will be no 3:30pm or 6:15pm BART Shuttles during finals week

Library and Cafeteria Services
During finals week, the library will be open for quiet study Monday - Thursday from 7:00am-4:00pm. It will only be open on Friday for previously scheduled make-ups.

The cafeteria will be open Monday through Thursday and will serve breakfast from 7:30 - 9:00am. The Snack Bar will be open from 10:30-11:30am. There will be no cafeteria service Friday, May 27.

Attendance
Students do not need to be on campus for flex period or study halls, but the library and annex will be available for students who are present. If a student does not have a 9:00am exam, they may arrive later but must be in the classroom by their 11:30am exam. If a student does not have the second exam of the day and intends to leave school at the conclusion of the first exam, they must check out with the attendance office.

Students - be sure to study a little bit each day leading up to your exams. Cramming and procrastination leads to higher stress and anxiety during exam season.

Parents and Guardians - please encourage your students to get plenty of rest and to eat a good breakfast each day, especially during the weeks leading up to and during exam week.

Warm regards,

Kevin Dineen |Associate Principal
