The Committee on Zoning recently recommended approval for a mixed-use development at 2354-5555 N. Washtenaw Avenue in Logan Square. Located across the street from Haas Park, The two-structure project will replace a one-story non-historical bank and a parking lot.
Meet Liberty Bank's New Branch Manager

NWCC welcomes Liberty Bank for Savings new Logan Square branch manager - Evette Berryhill. In talking about her new position recently, she remarked, "Liberty Bank has a welcoming atmosphere and family feel. I've already met many longtime customers who told me how much they appreciate the bank and how long they've been banking with us. I look forward to fostering these relationships and building new ones with more of our neighbors."

Ms. Berryhill has 25 years of experience in banking, including a six-year tenure with Banco Popular. She is bilingual in Spanish and English and looks forward to assisting local business owners and personal banking customers at the Logan Square Branch at 2392 N. Milwaukee Avenue.

Scholarships Grants to Build Energy Industry

ComEd, in partnership with National Energy Education Development (NEED), is accepting applications for scholarships of up to $10,000 from college students pursuing degrees in STEM and aspiring to careers in the energy industry. Since the program's launch in 2022, the utility company has awarded more than $350,000 in scholarships to 69 women and minorities. The deadline to apply is March 31st.
