Get Them Now for the Gala and the Drawing!
The 2018 Gala of Hope offers three ways to support the life-changing outreach work of Chicago Lights--and its programs of Tutoring, Summer Day, Urban Farm, Dance Academy, and Elam Davies Social Service Center--and the Replogle Center for Counseling and Well-Being.

You can get a ticket (or sponsor a table!) to attend the Gala--a festive evening of dinner, dancing, and fabulous auctions--which will be held Friday, March 2 at the Radisson Blu Aqua.

You can get drawing tickets for the "Windy City Escapade" drawing. (Winner need not be present at the Gala.)

You can make a contribution to support our outreach programs.

Learn more online or by stopping by Coffee Hour on Sunday!

New Class with Nanette Sawyer
Throughout the ages, religious icons have taken on deep spiritual meaning and become a way to convey a spiritual truth through physical forms.

Join Nanette Sawyer for a new Academy for Faith and Life class, "Windows on the Divine," that explores how religious icons can open windows to a deeper understanding of the Divine.

eclipseChanged by Technology
How Does Its Constant Use Change Us?
Reliance on technology--from texting and social networking, to video games and constant Internet access--is affecting our brains, our sense of self, and our relationships with others.

On Saturday, February 24, Dr. Doreen Dodgen-Magee, a clinical psychologist, will help us explore the impact of these technologies on our lives and offer guidance on how to break destructive habits and create new ways for healthy technology use.

She will be with us for "Logged In; Checked Out? How the Constant Use of Technology Is Changing Us," a one-day conference hosted at Fourth Church by our Replogle Center for Counseling and Well-Being.

Whether you are a parent, teacher, mental health clinician, physician, minister, or user of current technologies, this is for you!

 Time:
     Saturday, February 24
     8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Pastoral Staff Dialogue on Discipleship
In a special adult education series dedicated to exploring God's call to ministry and Christian discipleship, our pastoral staff will talk with us about their journeys of faith and how they found themselves in Christian ministry.

Come engage in a time of informal dialogue as each staff duo shares with us their understandings of Christian discipleship in the contemporary church era and together we learn where and how discipleship takes root and blossoms at Fourth Church.

Our first " Conversations on Ministry" duo, on Sunday, February 4, will be Rocky Supinger and Judith Watt.

Come enjoy their fun and fascinating talk that will help us think about how we can connect to urban nature through school gardens, parks, and volunteer opportunities.
