Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - Regular Schedule
Wednesday - Late Start
Class of 2022 Update
This week we are thrilled to be able to celebrate the Peninsula High School Class of 2022 with a fun-filled Senior Week!
  • Monday is Manic Monday, where our seniors are encouraged to dress crazy. There will also be a cool mural in the amphitheater with pictures that senior class submitted.
  • Tuesday is Take a Trip Tuesday, and seniors can wear clothes that they would wear when traveling, including tropical clothes, snow gear, etc. There will also be a staff vs. seniors basketball game at lunch in the gym.
  • Wednesday is Purple Purge- and seniors should wear their favorite purple shirt. There will also be Senior Coffee House that night in the amphitheater at 7 pm.
  • Thursday is Throwback Thursday, and seniors should wear something that reminds you of childhood. There will also be Senior Movie Night in the amphitheater at 7:30 pm. During lunch, seniors can pick up their Senior Shirts from the Activities Office, P115.
  • And on Friday, Seniors can wear their Senior Shirts to school and enjoy a free lunch together.

As a reminder, the only way our school can provide these items is through fundraising and your generous donations. If you haven't sent in your senior donation, please consider doing so! Your donation helps pay for the free giveaways, as well as Graduation. The link to donate is HERE. Or you can bring in a check to the Student Store for $90 made out to PVPHS Class of 2022. Thank you!

Graduation Speech and Performance Auditions
Tryouts to speak or perform at Graduation has been postponed to Tuesday, May 3rd. Every senior is eligible to tryout to speak or perform. Sign up for your timeslot outside of the Activities Office. Details about tryouts can be found in the senior mailer on page 2.
AP EXAMS ARE MAY 2 - 13
AP students are reminded to locate their PVPHS ID card this week so they will have it ready to check in at their AP Exam(s) starting Monday, May 2. Replacement id cards can be purchased from Mrs. Shiosaki in the Attendance Office for $10.

The AP exam schedule along with details about what to bring and what not to bring to the exams can be found HERE on the school website.
Attention Students & Families,

Please make sure to check your 2022-2023 Course Requests on Aeries as soon as possible, so that you can confirm all of the selections. To check course requests, log into your Aeries Student Portal Account.  From the Welcome page, go to the Classes tab near the top of the screen, and then click Course Requests. When deciding if you would like to request a zero period, please keep in mind that it will begin at 7:30am next year (1st period will start at 8:30am).

Please note that all forms and course request changes must be submitted by 5/27/22. Any student planning to take a summer course OUTSIDE of Palos Verdes Peninsula Summer School (PVPSS) must submit an Out of District Course Application.  These classes need to be completed by 8/12/22, with the transcript submitted to the Peninsula High School Registrar (Deirdre Heimer, [email protected]) no later than 8/26/22.

Similarly, students who plan to enroll in a course that was not recommended by the teacher must submit a Request for Placement Form. For example, the math teacher may have recommended Algebra 2 MCR, but the student would like to take Algebra 2. Counselors will only change the course request after receiving the Request for Placement Form. Once again, all forms and change requests must be submitted no later than 5/27/22.

To request a course change, students must use the bright orange form in the Counseling Office entitled PVPHS Counseling Office Program Change Request for Next Year. Submit the form to your counselor upon completion.

Please go to https://pvphs.pvpusd.net/apps/pages/Counseling/Course-Selection for all scheduling information, forms, deadlines, etc. You can also go to pvphs.com --> Counseling --> Course Selection 2022-23. Any questions/concerns should be directed to the student's school counselor.

Our goal is to make sure that PVPHS students get the best possible classes next year, and confirming the course requests is an essential piece of this process. We look forward to serving you, Panthers!

Sincerely,
