IN-PERSON WORSHIP

Sunday worship services are held in in our sanctuary at 9am and 11am!

Masks are optional (except for children ages 2-4 and volunteers working with children ages 4 and under). There will be a marked "masks required" section in the front right of the sanctuary for those who don't wish to sit with unmasked attendees.

ONLINE WORSHIP

You can join us virtually via our live-streamed services at 9am and 11am on YouTube, or watch the service later, beginning on Sunday afternoon.

This Worship Resource Page serves as a companion to the online worship service and includes song lyrics and sermon scripture.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Newborn-Preschool: Class is available during services. Upon drop-off, parents/guardians and children receive wristbands with matching numbers. Parents supply their wristband to pick up their child at the conclusion of the service.

Kindergarten - Grade 5: Class is available during both services. Children in this age group will begin in the sanctuary for worship with their parent/guardian and will be dismissed to the CE Room after the Congregational Prayer.

Grades 6-12: All youth will begin in the sanctuary for worship with their parent/guardian and will be dismissed to the Large Youth Room after the Congregational Prayer.

Adults: Classes for adults begin at the start of each service upstairs. At 9am, Pastor Ryan and Lam Nguyen will lead a discussion on the book Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes. At 11am, Pastor Lynda will lead a discussion on the book Rediscovering Scripture's Vision for Women. More information about these studies can be found here.
POST-SECONDARY
SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Education offers opportunity and equity, and it is as important as ever in helping students not only survive but thrive. Some students, however, hit roadblocks to affordable education because of family, economic, or other circumstances. HBIC has set up a scholarship fund to help students cover a small portion of their college costs like textbook or lab fees. These funds can help students towards finishing their degrees so they can find jobs that God has particularly gifted them to do. If you're interested in an application, contact Pastor Brie.
VBS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

VBS 2022 is right around the corner! This year we will explore the colorful canyons and sunbaked trails of the southwest through Monumental! Join us June 26-30 here at the church!

We need many people to share with the kids of our church and community. Please review the areas in which we need help using this link and sign up to volunteer as you are able! Feel free to contact Pastor Patty with any questions!
MOURN WITH THOSE WHO MOURN

THANK YOU!

From Kim and Jay Mumper:
Thank you for all your notes of prayers of comfort in the past weeks after the death of Kim's mother. We have felt surrounded by love. Thank you too for the beautiful flower arrangement, they are still gracing our kitchen table!

Community Meals (Wednesdays beginning at 5:30pm starting this week)

SPRING WORK DAY

All are invited to join us in serving the church at our Spring Work Day on Saturday, May 7 from 8am to 12pm! Lunch will be provided. We need help with things like landscaping, cleaning, and general maintenance. Many hands make lighter work, so we hope to see many of our church family members there!
FELLOWSHIP DINNER GROUPS

HBIC helps coordinate an opportunity for individuals and families to be intentional about practicing hospitality and sharing meals with one another through Fellowship Dinner Groups. We hope you will consider participating in one of these groups, which generally consists of 8-12 adults. To learn more, visit our website! If you'd like to be assigned to a group, please sign up by May 22. Groups will begin meeting in June.
OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE

ESL:
HBIC's ESL Ministry is growing! We are looking for 2-4 volunteers to help with our Wednesday night English classes for adult immigrants and refugees. Our classes meet from 6:30-8:00 and you will be joining a fun and energetic group of students and volunteers eager to learn and connect with one another. Past teaching experience or second language skills are not required but always a great help! If you'd like to learn more, contact Charity Stowell (717-319-0893).

Food Pantry:
The Food Pantry is looking for "on-call" volunteers to help on Wednesdays during the day (you'll be notified by Tuesday if needed that week) with lifting and unpacking boxes. If you're willing to serve in this way, contact Pastor Carmen.

Hospitality Ministry:
We need people who are willing to pick up Panera bread items from the Camp Hill Panera at 9pm on Thursdays and drop them off at the church either Thursday night or by Friday morning. Contact Pastor Lynda if you can help with this!
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

We're currently hiring to fill a part-time position for the church:

Office Administrative Assistant
(Tuesday through Friday, 9 am to 3 pm)

You can view the posting for this position on our website, and we invite you to spread the word to any qualified persons you know who may be interested. Please also join us in prayer as we discern the best fit for our congregation. Thank you!
GROCERY GIFT CARDS

Did you know that you can purchase gift cards for Giant, Weis and Karns through HBIC and we get 5% of the value of the card? Contact the church office to order if you're interested and we will arrange a pick-up time with you!
