OUR PARISH MISSION
Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.
We do that by EXPERIENCING, EMBRACING, AND EXTENDING
God's love.

There are three ways to give to the mission of Christ Church:
you can mail in your pledge, give online, or text GIVE to (850) 403-6673.

The Bible Project
Throughout the fall, we will use the Bible Project to lead us as we dig deeper into God’s Word. Each week, we will read a book of the New Testament. Click here for the readings and links.
There are four ways to engage in this study:
1.    Disciple track – read highlights of the Bible book over the course of the week.
2.    Scholar track – read the entire Bible book over the course of the week.
3.    Bible Project Videos – watch a short background and overview video on the Bible book covered that week.
Reflection – We will have a weekly social media post with the links and a reflection question as a way to engage with Scripture at home or with others. We would love to hear your thoughts and responses in the comments.

EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY (EfM) REGISTRATION FOR NEW YEAR
The Outline of Faith in our Book of Common Prayer asks the question “Through whom does the Church carry out its mission?” Our answer is “The church carries out its mission through the ministry of all its members.” EfM will enrich your spiritual life and support you as you discover and live out your ministry. How can you best use your gifts and talents? It is designed for lay people with big questions and a hunger to better understand our faith. We join together weekly to study Old Testament, New Testament, church history and theological thinking in a four year program but you only commit to one academic year at a time. The seminar builds fellowship, understanding and a sense of how God is working in your life. Registration for our new year begins in December. Tuition includes all course materials including books. For additional information contact Pam Tanner with questions.

AN ADVENT MORNING OF SILENCE — "So Will I"
Saturday, December 4 ~ 10:00-11:30 AM
Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church
"In the beginning, the Spirit brooded over the face of the waters and God spoke and there was Light.  Likewise, in the fullness of time, an angel announced to Mary and the same creative Spirit visited her and she conceived the Son of God. This Advent, our Advent, is equally a time of creation. God’s same Spirit abides in us—brooding over our waters—shaping and forming us, being formed and shaped by us."  (Caryll Houselander)

All are welcome! In the silence of this Advent morning, we will share two twenty-minute Centering Prayer periods, music, and Advent devotions. Register at centeringprayerpensacola.com to reserve your space.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
~ Sunday, November 14 ~
Parents: Please walk your children to the Christian Education Building. Enter by the church courtyard and go through the green door marked for your entry. You will follow the footsteps along the hallways to the Christian Education Building. The nursery is on the first floor and Sunday School rooms are upstairs on the second floor. You can pick your children up from their classrooms or nursery following the 10:30 service.

8:00 AM – The Nursery is available for children ages infant through 3-years-old.

9:30 AM – At this time, the Sunday School program is paused. Please join us during the 10:30 AM service for Godly Play for younger children and Journey Through the Bible for our older children.

10:30 AM – During the 10:30 AM service, the Nursery is available for children ages infant through 3 years old, located on the first floor of the Christian Education building.

Godly Play is offered for children in Pre-K 4 through 3rd grade. Children learn the stories of our faith while playing, crafting, and exploring. A snack is offered. This Sunday we will tell the story of the Temple and the Ark. This is a follow up to our lesson on the Ten Best Ways (The Ten Commandments). The children will be able to see how the temple was built and where the ark holding the tablets with the ten commandments was placed. After the story is told, the children will be able to work with the story pieces to build the temple.

Journey Through the Bible is a new curriculum for our 4th and 5th graders. They will journey through the entire Bible the two years of this class, starting with the New Testament this year.
STAY CONNECTED WITH
CHILDREN & FAMILY MINISTRY!
Children and Family Ministry (CFM) has two new ways to keep our families connected with Christ Church during the week. CFM is on Instagram, @cckidspensacola, and shares what is happening on Sunday mornings and ideas for how to keep faithful conversations happening during the week. CFM also has a bite-sized weekly email with the "5 Things" our families need to know for the week – Sunday reminders, save the dates, and more. Would you like to be added? Email Victoria to be added to the list!
NEW ADULT EDUCATION CLASS:
"The Way of Love –
Practices for a Jesus-Centered Life"
Sundays ~ 9:15 AM
This class intends to teach disciples of Jesus Christ how to live a life based on what Jesus said was the first great commandment, to love God, and the second, to love others as self. Each session is centered on a spiritual practice to accomplish that goal. This week's lesson is "Learn." Disciples learn what Jesus and the Bible tell us love is, as well as giving us tasks which demonstrate love. The Learn practice will be discussed on Sunday at 9:15 AM in Room 31 upstairs in the Christian Education building or through the Zoom connection.
EPISCOPAL YOUTH COMMUNITY NEWS
BIBLE STUDY IS COMING BACK!
We are restarting bible studies for youth grades 6th-12th. Bible study will be once a month for middle school girls, middle school boys and high school. Middle school girls will be November 9 at Fosko at 6:45 AM, middle school boys November 16 at Fosko at 6:45 AM, and high schoolers will be November 17 at Bagelheads at 6:45 AM.  If you have any questions, please let Sarah know.
ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS
Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. After the Sunday services, the altar flower arrangements are reworked into smaller arrangements. These arrangements are delivered to members of our parish family that are unable to attend a Sunday service. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available here and on the information table in the Parish Office.
CARE IN COMMUNITY
Christ Church is here for you. There are many ministries to love and support the people who are the church. If you are interested in assisting with staying connected to our church family, please email Rev. Katie or call her at the Parish Office, 850-432-5115. It is easy to feel alone or disconnected, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. Contact Rev. Katie if you or anyone you know has any needs. If you have a pastoral emergency, please call our pastoral care emergency line to speak directly with one of the priests: (850) 462-5137.
