Renewal at Vermont & Manchester
In South Los Angeles, BRIDGE is honored to team up on Evermont with the Coalition for Responsible Community Development, Primestor Development, Metro, the County and City of Los Angeles and a community of dedicated partners. For 180 family and senior households, Evermont will deliver quality affordable and permanent supportive housing with the services people need to thrive. The development goes beyond housing to provide the retail, transit, education and jobs that will bring healing to this site, which has been vacant since the 1992 LA uprising.

Tacos and Taxes
Last month in Los Angeles, BRIDGE partnered with Haven Neighborhood Services to bring the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to Jordan Downs for the first time. VITA volunteers helped qualified community members file 19 returns, resulting in $258,000 in tax refunds and credits for Jordan Downs and Watts-area residents. Thanks to El Nido Family Centers, Better Tomorrows, the Children’s Institute and Watts LA WorkSource Center for leading outreach, and to OneWest Bank for providing tacos and refreshments!
