We have knowledge about what works for detecting and treating suicidal thoughts and behaviors. But, this knowledge does not always make it to out into the world - to mental health providers, to other care providers, and to the general population. Suicide prevention requires a multi-faceted approach and it is in everyone’s best interest to learn how to recognize risk, how to intervene and to refer people at risk to care. In this webinar, participants will learn the AIM model 10 best clinical practices for assessing risk, intervening and monitoring suicide risk in individuals who present for behavioral health care. The 3R’s - Recognize, Respond and Refer, will also be reviewed. These practices will be described and illustrated through a combination of didactic teaching as well as through the use of clinical and video vignettes. The webinar will include opportunity for interactive discussion. Resources for further information and training will be shared.

You will earn a certificate for participating in this webinar.

CEUs will not be provided.
