Student Leaders Prepare for the 95th National FFA Convention & Expo

FFA members and supporters from across the country will celebrate agriculture and agricultural education next week during the 95th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. National Wheat Yield Contest 2022 Winners

USDA Announced $1 Billion Debt Relief for 36,000 Farmers

Farmers Nationwide Send a Strong Message to EPA on Atrazine

More than 16,000 farmers and agricultural organizations representing corn, citrus, grain sorghum, sugar cane, and other crops recently united against EPA's proposed revision to its 2020 atrazine registration review decision, submitting comments calling for the agency to base decisions on credible scientific evidence. The next step is a Scientific Advisory Panel, which EPA has committed to convening the examine the science behind its proposed 3.4 ppb level of concern. Read the full press release here.

DNMC Approves Emergency Order


The Delaware Nutrient Management Commission approved an emergency order during its October 4th meeting that will allow for a 180-day extension for properly staged poultry litter in Delaware crop fields, beginning on November 1st. Learn more about the order here

Efforts to Extend Shelf Life of Baked Goods


Expanding the window of time breads and cakes remain fresh, would help retailers, food distributors and bakers around the world broaden their customer bases and grow their businesses. Federal Reserve's Efforts to Temper Inflaton and Cool the Economy Will Continue

Montgomery County Land


At some point in the near future, the government of Montgomery County will release a report detailing the status of its transferable development rights system - a program that allows farmers to sell development rights on land in the country's prized agricultural reserve to builders who can use those rights to boost density in other parts of the still-growing county.   • Three $3,000 scholarships to MGPA members studying for a 2 or 4-year degree. 
  • Two $2,000 scholarships to MGPA members studying for a 2 or 4-year degree. 
  • Two $1,000 scholarships for non-GMPA members studying agriculture in a 2 or 4-year program. 

National Corn Growers Association Scholarship
