Heritage & Inclusion Night Performers Needed! If you're interested in performing, please email events@normanrockwellpta.org December 8th, 2022 5:30PM - 7:30PM Redmond High School. This is a FREE event (hosted by your PTA) that the whole family will enjoy. Heritage Night is an opportunity to showcase the beautiful and richly diverse cultures in our community. Kids will receive a blank passport as they enter the event. They can then visit the variety of booths in the auditorium. The kiddos who fill their passport with stamps from around the world will receive a small prize at the end. Families will also enjoy a showcase of performances from around the world. Kids of all ages love Heritage Night. It's a great time for the community to come together, and to learn about and celebrate each other. We can't wait to see you there! Holiday Gift Card Drive for Rockwell Families The PTA is hosting a holiday gift card drive for Rockwell Families in need. To contribute, please purchase a $25 gift certificate at Target or Fred Meyer. We chose these specific stores because there are multiple locations nearby, and because families can use the funds to purchase either holiday gifts or grocery items. We are asking for a specific denomination ($25) to ensure that we can distribute the cards equally among all the families who need them. The drive will run November 30 through December 9th. During these dates, please look for PTA volunteers at the car drop-off/pick-up line, at the flagpole, and at the back of the school. PTA volunteers will be at these locations at the beginning and at the end of each school day. Please place the donated gift cards in an envelope that has the name of your child (or children) on the outside of the envelope - the PTA will write each child's name who donated to the drive on a snowflake located near the office (as a show of thanks for your family's generosity). Families who need help this holiday season should email the school counselor, Kristin Bauer (kbauer@lwsd.org). Names of families who receive gift card donations will be kept strictly confidential. Did you know you can purchase a gift card for Rockwell PTA three ways? At the store, online and print out gift card or at Heritage Night this Thursday, Dec 8th. Rockwell Food Drive Dec 5th - 14th December is the season of giving which means it's time for our annual Rockwell Food Drive. Rockwell is partnering with Redmond Hopelink to help support families in need in our community and we need your help! Food donations will be collected from Monday, December 5th to Wednesday, December 14th, then dropped off by our leadership team to the Hopelink Food Bank. Bring one item of food or a whole grocery bag full and help us to reach our donation goal and make our community a better place this holiday!

December Recess Volunteers Needed A new month means a new recess wrangler sign up! This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity; you may sign up for as many shifts as you wish! We need 6-8 volunteers helping every day at morning recess and lunch recess shifts from 12:15PM - 1:20PM. You can sign up for an entire shift or part of a shift. We also need lunchroom helpers every day from 11:55AM - 1:00PM. New and Experienced Recess Wranglers: Your help during recess is greatly appreciated by the staff. Sign up for a November recess time here. Math Challenge #5 Due by Thursday, Dec 8th Math Challenge #5 is now available HERE. For this challenge, lucky prize winners will be randomly selected from qualified submissions. Please feel free to try more questions than the minimum required for your grade level to qualify. Grab some friends and family and work on the challenges together! Once your student completes the challenge, email their paper by the due date to mathchallege@normanrockwellpta.org The due date for Math Challenge #5 is Thursday, Dec 8th. Bellevue Skating Rink Fundraiser Brrr, it's getting cold outside! Join us at the skating rink from now until January 8th, 2023 Looking for a fun activity to do this winter season? Visit Bellevue Downtown Ice Rink, the region's largest covered open-air ice-skating rink. The ice rink is a temporary structure at the Bellevue Downtown Park in Downtown Bellevue, and a production by the Bellevue Downtown Association, a non-profit organization. Be sure to mention "Norman Rockwell" to rink staff upon arrival, and we receive $3 for every paying visitor. Admission/reservations can be made ONLINE. Please check them out. Plan a fun winter break outing with your family, friends or classmates!
