Food and Nutrition Services help schools feed

healthy meals to children

According to the Food Research and Action Center, children and adolescents who eat breakfast (either at school or at home) are significantly less likely to be overweight, while skipping breakfast is associated with a higher risk of obesity. School breakfast also helps build lifelong healthy eating habits.

Food and Nutrition Services provide more than 20,000 meals to children at schools throughout Milwaukee every day.

Get a tour of Concordia 27 project

Join Near West Side Partners as well as Centers for Independence for hard hat tours of the under-construction community resource hub, Concordia 27.

During the event, NWSP team members will highlight how partner support has elevated the Near West Side business community.

The space will also include a fifth production kitchen for Employment and Food Services. The kitchen will help meet the higher demand for the more than 20,000 meals distributed daily throughout the Milwaukee region, as well as provide additional employment opportunities.
