MUSIC THIS WEEK

One of the anthems Lynne Spotts will sing this Sunday is written by a composer now living and working in England where he has spent most of his career at Cambridge. This solo, Give Me Wings, looks to the future as we do. “Give me hope and I’ll build tomorrow---with a place there for everyone.”

After spending hours singing John Rutter’s music under his direction, (in my younger choir directing days,) I came away with great admiration for his musicianship and his deep belief in the beauty and blessings of our world. I think you will find inspiration as you listen to his songs. “Give me wings and I’ll soar like an eagle.”
