2023 Vendor Update

Namaste, Vendors, happy Wednesday! Awakening Festival 2023 is just 17 days away and we have some important updates for you...


BUT FIRST...are you following us on social media? We’ve been promoting and hope you’ll help us share as far and wide as possible! Find us @AwakeningIntoTheSunFestival on Facebook and @awakeningintothesun on Instagram to share the love :)


BOOTH ASSIGNMENTS

Thank you for your patience as we get booth locations finalized. Per our Vendor Guidelines, booth assignments will be announced via email no later than Friday, March 3, 2023.


ELECTRIC

If you require an electrical connection you MUST CLICK HERE to verify your selection and needs. 


DON'T FORGET: You must bring your own 50-foot, 16-gauge, outdoor extension cord. *The St. Pete Parks & Rec Department will be on-site and will not allow you to plug into power with an indoor extension cord*


TENTS

You must bring your own tent, tent weights, tables and chairs for your booth setup. Please refer to our Vendor Guidelines to be sure you have the proper equipment. If your tent is not appropriately weighted it will not be permitted to stay.


We're expecting pleasant temps and sunny skies all weekend long BUT strong winds by the water are always possible so please be prepared.


UNLOADING AND SETUP

OPTIONAL FRIDAY EVENING SET UP - If you would like to set up your tent, tables and chairs on Friday evening you may do so after 4pm. Security guards will monitor our equipment overnight.


PLEASE NOTE: there is NO reserved parking or unloading zone on Friday evening and you are not permitted to drive your vehicle inside the park. Friday evening setup is a courtesy from the City - please observe the guidelines if you don't want to be ticketed or towed. Vendors who do not follow the guidelines will be asked to leave.


SATURDAY + SUNDAY MORNING UNLOADING ZONE

The park is open to vendors for setup at 7am both days - all booths must be set up by 10am. Please see the map image below for the flow of traffic on both mornings.

Bayshore Drive will be blocked off with barricades and police officers 7-10am. 

The unloading zone will be open 7am-10am + after 7pm. 


You must enter the unloading zone from 5th Ave (across from the Vinoy Hotel). There will be NO ENTRANCE at 2nd Ave. 


When you arrive, tell the traffic attendant that you're a festival vendor and then follow the signs to the marked unloading zones. Staff will be ready to check you in and golf carts will be waiting to help you get your materials to your booth.


Vehicles can not be left unattended at the curb - we have 150 vendors to unload so we thank you for remaining courteous of all participants and helping to ensure a quick and easy process.


PARKING

The North Shore parking lot that we usually use will be full Saturday morning due to an event at Vinoy Park. 


SO we’ve been working with the City to make special arrangements for vendor parking on the lawn adjacent to the Museum of Fine Arts.


This has not been an easy process BUT we have secured a limited number of these parking spaces and they will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.

**Parking passes will be issued upon arrival - they are non-transferable and will be linked to your license plate number at check-in.**


PLEASE BE AWARE - VEHICLES WILL BE PARKED VALET-STYLE SO YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO LEAVE YOUR CAR PARKED FOR THE DAY (UNLESS THERE IS AN EMERGENCY). NO RE-ENTRY - IF YOUR CAR LEAVES THE PARKING LOT IT WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RETURN.


ALTERNATE PARKING OPTIONS - If you need to come-and go with your car during festival hours, there are paid parking options available in many nearby garages and on Beach Drive at a meter. Free parking is available at the North Shore Aquatic Complex on Saturday and the free North Shore Park lot is available on Sunday. All of the garages and parking lots are within a 10-minute walk from North Straub Park.


PLEASE NOTE: We will NOT have a parking lot shuttle this year so please plan accordingly. If you need to park close to the event, grab our special event parking pass here.


OVERNIGHT SECURITY

To keep your structures safe from harm, we have two overnight security guards hired to monitor the park from 7pm-7am both Friday & Saturday. We do not recommend leaving valuable products overnight; however, tents, tables, chairs and display pieces are okay.
