Five Guests Accepted Christ Through the SYBA Food Pantry

One of the five who accepted Christ is a long-time guest. She has probably met with about every Encourager we have over the years. But this month, she met an Encourager who had never served at the Food Pantry before. When the Encourager asked her about her salvation and going to church her response was, "Yeah, I’m saved and I watch Joel Osteen online." When he started asking her a few questions and told her his personal story about coming to salvation at a later time in his life, she asked him if she could talk to him. She said she really didn’t know much and wasn’t sure about her salvation. He clearly shared the gospel message with her and she prayed to receive Christ! He asked her after she prayed if she knew what happened here today. She said, with hands raised, “I got saved!”

God’s timing is perfect. This Encourager wasn’t even supposed to be there that day. He was scheduled for a previous week when we had to close due to snow. God orchestrated the meeting so that this Encourager was the one to pray with her. In His timing, the right person was able to speak God's truth into her life.

Please pray for the Food Pantry and consider helping out with either a food drive or a financial gift to assist with rising food costs and greater need. Thank you for being on mission together to help meet needs and share Christ...All in God's perfect timing.

Transitional Interim Ministry training equips pastors and church leaders to help churches make the most of the time between the departure of one pastor and the calling of another. The experience of hundreds of congregations and their leaders confirms that what is done in this transitional period greatly influences the formation of a solid ministry team with the new pastor and congregation. The two-day training provides effective tools that can be used by both a traditional or a transitional interim pastor, as well as the pastor search committee.

The training is two days, from 9 am to 5 pm each day, with lunch provided. The $75 registration fee covers meals, snacks, and materials.

South Yadkin Baptist Association will scholarship 50% of the fee for any man participating from our Association. Attendance of both full/complete days is required to receive your certification.
