Happening Now!
“Behind the curtain’s mystic fold
The glowing future lies unrolled.”
Neil Gaiman
The stripping work has begun! In fact, the crew are half-way through this incredible work-at-height project which, through a vapor-blasting process, is taking the tower down to bare cement to remove at least five visible coats of paint.

Pictured above: Containment tarps protect the surrounding environment from the vapor-sand-blasting which removes the old paint.

Pictured left: View from underneath the tarp. With access to the bare concrete, our crew can begin making the masonry repairs by filling the cracks and repairing any structural damage.

After that, everyone will see fresh beautiful paint being applied!
"We should all consider the lighthouse the most special place to be protected, not just for Abaco,
but the entire world."
Letitia McKibbon
