Dear Parents,
I am thrilled that the first official week of school went off without a hitch. I think it was very helpful having all children spend the summer in their fall classes getting to know their teachers, friends, and routine. That meant that the first day of school was only the first day for our new families. There were only a few tears for a few days, but thanks to my stellar staff by weeks end almost all the children arrived and left our campus with smiles on their faces.
I am confident that your year with us will be a memorable one. Know that my staff is a close-knit family, and they are committed to serving you. I have an open-door policy and am usually on the campus from Open to Close Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and til mid-day Friday. When I am not on site, I monitor my emails and Brightwheel and if you have a matter that needs immediate attention, my most capable office staff can also serve you.
Please remember to take 10 minutes a week reading my weekly letter as well as the teacher's letter. Both will contain important information about your child's class and upcoming activities.
Please remember our staff does their best to answer your messages in a timely manner and send as many photos as possible, but also remember most of their time is spent caring and teaching the children in their care so sometimes messages are not answered right away. Most messages are answered when children are sleeping or for our K-2 kids when kids are in PE or Spanish class.
Remember, we are all here to serve you so if you need something, please to not hesitate to ask and we will all do our best to serve you. If you ever "miss the weekly letter" you can always scroll back in your message feed. It will also be sent weekly through Constant Contact. Two-way communication is the best thing we can all do for a successful school year.
