Girls Inc. Chosen to Receive the Youth Making Change Grant!


It is with great excitement that we share that we are recipients of the 2022-23 Youth Making Change grant!


This funding will allow us to host a Mental Wellness Summit providing a safe space for discussion and supportive workshops to address the most significant concerns expressed by teens in the community.

We thank The Fund for Santa Barbara for advancing progressive change by strengthening economic, environmental, political, racial, and social justice movements like ours.

Youth Raise Awareness and Get an Exciting Response

Two days of our media literacy curriculum were spent learning about the disparity of media coverage for activists of color.


Barcelona worked in pairs to learn about an activist of their choosing and create a poster.


Our youth caused quite a stir on our social media channels to raise awareness for women of color who are in the activism space. We've been reposted by the likes of Dianne Guerrero (AKA Isabella from Encanto) to Marley Dias!
