My name is Brent Lucia and I’m a professor at UConn’s School of Business. I’m curious about how students are using AI in their academic environments and would love to hear from you. If you’re interested, please take a minute to complete this short survey on the topic. Esperanza Teasdale is the Vice President and General Manager, Hispanic Business Unit for PepsiCo Beverages North America, responsible for the overall strategy, engagement, and sales for the company’s $2 billion Hispanic business.
She began her career at PepsiCo as a Brand Manager and, over the past 20 years, has demonstrated excellence in a range of roles driving business results across brands like Pepsi, Lipton, Propel and customers. She is a proud founder of the PepsiCo Demand Accelerator, where she helped build the shopper marketing capability and drive commercial results.
Under her leadership, in 2021, PepsiCo announced Juntos Crecemos (Together We Grow), a $50 million platform aimed at strengthening Hispanic-owned businesses, specifically restaurants, bodegas, and carnicerías (meat markets), addressing foundational business challenges, and supporting business growth. She is recognized as a champion of talent, diversity and engagement.
She is a first-generation Ecuadorian/Colombian daughter to Pablo and Esperanza Escobar. She is married to Jeff Teasdale and has two children. She has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University and MBA from The University of Connecticut.

Bob has over 40 years of experience in the asset management industry and has been on the Foundation Board and Investment Committee for 10 years. Come Meet Bob and hear more about his career and the Asset Management industry.
Bob will also be speaking about his popular course -- Institutional Asset Management, offered only in the fall! The course is divided into two parts: the first focuses on challenges faced by asset management firms, and the second addresses current industry issues. In addition to class discussions, students will also visit asset managers and other financial institutions. The course is open to all business majors!

Impact Delta: Leadership for Social Change
Wednesdays, 6-8pm (Feb 19 - April 23)
This nine-week program will introduce participants to the Social Change Model of Leadership and the "Seven C’s of Change". The program will develop participants’ leadership and cultural competencies through self-identity and social identity activities, experiential learning, capstone presentations, self-reflection, cross-cultural dialogue, and community commitment.
Emotionally Intelligent Leadership

The Emotionally Intelligent Leadership (EIL) Workshop Series is a nine-week program designed to introduce students to the components of emotionally intelligent leadership. EIL allows an individual to identify and understand their own emotions and those of others, then appropriately manage and channel those emotions into interactions within a particular leadership context.
Discovery Leadership
Tuesdays, 6:30-8pm (Feb 18 - April 22)
Students will develop their leadership competencies through self-reflection, experiential learning, exploration of team dynamics, communication, and cultural competence. Discovery offers the basic concepts and principles of leadership, explore, define, and develop personal values, and begin to take an active role in positively influencing the university community and beyond.
