SPECIAL NOTICE:
Monday, September 11, during the daytime hours, there is potential for a single lane closure of the outermost northbound lane of U.S. 2/7 in front of Burger King near South Park Drive to facilitate the relocation of independent utilities. A single lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times.
TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION:
Monday, September 11, through Friday, September 15, during the daytime hours, 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., the outermost southbound lane of U.S. 2/7 between South Park Drive and Mountain View Drive will be closed. Only a single travel lane will be closed in each direction during the daytime hours. Side street and interstate ramp access will be maintained throughout this work. Motorists are strongly encouraged to use caution while driving through the work zone and pay close attention to signage as traffic patterns will change. All users should expect delays and plan ahead. 
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: 
Next week, during daytime hours, crews will continue to construct the western retaining wall that will run along the west side of U.S. 2/7 outside the I-89 bridge piers. Crews will continue installing curb and guardrail, and conducting shaping work along U.S. 2/7 between South Park Drive and Mountain View Drive. 
LOCATION: U.S. Routes 2/7 (U.S. 2/7) in Colchester starting at the Winooski town line and continuing north for 1.05 miles to Sunderland Woods Road.

PROJECTED COMPLETION: Contract 1 Spring 2024 / Contract 2 Summer 2026

This video provides an overview of the Exit 16 DDI project, discusses the benefits of the Diverging Diamond Interchange design, and demonstrates how drivers, cyclists and pedestrians will navigate the new traffic pattern coming to Colchester, VT.

Translated Materials
VTrans is committed to providing a comprehensive and robust communications and public outreach program as part of this project. 

The project website has been upgraded to include a translation feature with the ability to automatically translate website content into 11 languages. 

In addition, the website is now home to a translated materials tab which includes several frequently asked questions and answers that have been translated into 11 languages with help from trained interpreters and translators from AALV in Burlington, Vermont.
