Lakeway City Council met in regular session on Monday, Oct. 18. Here is a brief recap from that meeting:
FINANCIALS
The City of Lakeway finance director gave an update on the close of the budget cycle for FY 2021, showing around $1,535,550 of additional revenue, and savings in the amount of $861,895 on expenditures. These totals have not yet been finalized. The start of the new budget cycle (FY 2022) began on Oct. 1, 2021.
CHERRY PEAK OFFICE PARK
City Council unanimously voted in favor of approving a zoning change from single-family residential to commercial for the development of a medical office park called Cherry Peak Office Park Phase II located at 3602 Wild Cherry Drive, which is adjacent to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center.
SQUARE ON LOHMANS
City Council unanimously voted in favor of approving a zoning change for the Square on Lohmans development across from The Hills entrance on Lohmans Crossing Road to a Planned Unit Development (PUD). Several conditions were added and included in the vote by City Council. Key features of the development include the construction of Main Street to the existing section at Lohmans Crossing Road, a central gathering space called "The Square," mixed-use commercial/residential buildings, townhomes and single-family residences.
