Please come visit our new website. It was designed and created by Eric Sommerfeld as a Taproot+ project, with a concept presented by Nancy Hytone Leb as part of a CA Arts Council grant project. Writing is by Louise Reichlin with additional by Kelly Peters. The wonderful photos are from 39 years of company history. And Board Member Al Lesser was inspired by that one and redesigned our TriartSP.com site.

Over the years she has continued to examine our society from its most primitive nature to the emergence of the information age with "The in 1996. Through multiple performances for the 23rd Olympiad, a summer series at the LA Zoo, touring the US and Mexico with "Dreamscapes".

So California Dance Directory - Is your company listed?
|
The
Southern CA Dance Directory
that I began in 1995 is alive and well with over 580 listings of professional dance companies and related organizations. The URL has now changed, so please make note. This free service is accessed by thousands of people each month, and I've heard that dance jobs have often come about through the information! But....if the wrong email or phone number is there, it's up to you to contact us and it will be fixed, usually within 24 hours. If you are not there and would like to be, please email the information in the format that is there. This is a special project that is a labor of love - no grants funds involved - so if you want to use it, please help keep it up to date. Contact us at

Free performance culminating school residency at Anatola Elementary
|
We are pleased to announce a free performance that culminates a residency at Anatola Elementary School. Two of our teaching artists have been working with several 4th grades there
in a 5-session dance residency to learn the words and movement from three multicultural dances- the Tanko Bushi from Japan, the Kol Dodi from Israel, and the Lamba from the 14th century Mali Empire in West Africa. Some of the students are also performing in "The Tennis Dances", a theatrical work using props. They will be joining members of our company in the participatory program. The school residency is sponsored through a grant from the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles. Additional support for Professional Development sessions there is from the California Arts Council.
The performance is at 1:30pm on Tues, May 14, 2019 in the Auditorium/Multipurpose Room, and part of a school-wide Open House. Anatola is at
7364 Anatola Ave, Van Nuys CA 91406. You may contact Anatola Elementary at 818-343-8733 but reservations are not necessary as it is part of an Open House in the after school time. The performance is free and open to the public.
