CARVER CENTER BEHIND-THE-SCENES

We are investing in our future! With funding from Westchester County’s Community Block Development Program, we continue to make improvements to our facility to ensure that our building’s environment is comfortable and safe for our staff and our community.

Did you know that "RTU" stands for "Roof Top Units"?

HELPING HANDS HELPING OUR CHILDREN

Through our partnership with Rye's Helping Hands for the Homeless & Hungry, we provided 60 new backpacks, filled with supplies, to our elementary school children and high school teens.

Having a new backpack ensures that a child starts the school year on an equal footing with their peers. A new backpack can boost self-esteem and help children feel more included in their learning environment.

STUDENT YOUTH EMPLOYMENT SUCCESS

On August 18th, we celebrated our teens who participated in the Student Youth Employment Program this summer. Many of the teens worked at Carver, while others were working at various sites in the community including Steer for Student Athletes, Port Chester Rye Brook Public Library, and Meals on Main Street.

Thanks to State Senator Shelley Mayer and Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins for attending and for supporting our teens!
