Important Underwriting Notice
COVID-19 Update as of 3/1/2022 - Replaces All Previous Pandemic Guidelines
As a result of the recent mask mandate cancellation as well as contacting our medical director and our reinsurance companies, the following update is effective immediately.

First, we thank everyone for being so understanding and flexible as we ride the waves of the pandemic. This certainly has been a very challenging time for all of us! We will continue to stay on top of the recommendations and continue to keep you informed with all changes and processes. Going forward, here are the UPDATED temporary guidelines to follow:

1) Continue to ask ALL clients the following questions prior to writing an application:
  • Have you had a fever or respiratory symptoms within the last 14 days?
  • Have you had contact with anyone who tested positive for COVID-19?

2) REQUIRED: If your client has had a documented case of COVID-19, please postpone writing for at least 30 days from their recovery. If they required medical care, please submit a statement of good health from the healthcare provider involved in their care.

If your client has had a documented primary contact with a COVID-19 patient, please postpone writing any coverage for a minimum of 30 days from the date of their initial contact.

3) All fully underwritten plans will still require a Statement of Good Health on delivery for a period of time.

We will continue to provide updates and notify you of changes in these guidelines as they occur.
