As we enter into the first week of Advent, the theme is perfect for this time in our lives in the world - HOPE!
Let’s rejoice in the hope of Jesus. Life is not always easy.
But, we can face each new day and its challenges in the love
and strength of Jesus. Because He is our Hope!
Season of Advent Prayer for Families
God of Love, Jesus, your son, is your greatest gift to us.
He is a sign of your love.
Help us to walk in this love during these weeks of Advent, as we wait and prepare for his nativity.
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Savior. Amen.
Have a beautiful week and please let the parish office know if there is anything we can do for you. God bless~

Foster Grandparent Volunteers Needed in Will County
Catholic Charities’ Foster Grandparent Program is seeking volunteers in Will County for the current school year! Foster Grandparents are role models, mentors, and friends to local children with exceptional needs. The program provides a way for volunteers (age 55 and over) to stay active by serving children and youth in their communities.
Sharing your time and experience can help children learn how to read, assist younger students for school readiness, tackle tough subjects and make decisions that will keep them on the right path. We’ll match your skills and passions to opportunities that interest you.
Most volunteers serve about 15-20 hours a week. Foster Grandparents who are income eligible will receive a tax-free hourly stipend to help cover costs associated with volunteering. Catholic Charities will provide pre-service orientation and training to prepare you for this rewarding opportunity.
Interested in learning more? Contact Deb at 815-724-1157 or dsirek@cc-doj.org. For more information about the programs and services provided by Catholic Charities, visit catholiccharitiesjoliet.org.
The Foster Grandparent Program is a program of AmeriCorps. AmeriCorps is the federal agency connecting individuals and organizations through service and volunteering to tackle the nation’s most pressing challenges.
