CAACE welcomes new leaders for the following adult education programs:
| |
Thank you to all the programs that have responded to our annual invoices for 2023-24 Association dues. We recognize that our dues have increased and several program leaders have reached out regarding this. Please note that dues are based on the number of employees working in your program. We based our 23-24 invoices off of the CSDE's FY22 Program Profiles. Also please note that CAACE has significantly increased the services provided to members. We hope you understand and support our efforts to increase our outreach and advocacy on behalf of all programs, big and small. If you have questions about an invoice, please contact Treasurer Lori Wyrebek at wyrebekl@caace.org. | |

Welcome New Executive Director
On behalf of the CAACE Executive Board, we are excited to announce that Lawrence (Larry) Covino has been selected as our first CAACE Executive Director. After a comprehensive interview process the selection committee selected Larry for this new position.
Larry’s primary role will be to help our membership grow and prosper as well as to advocate on behalf of CAACE at the state and national level. Larry will also be the main point of contact for all CAACE business and for the CAACE Conference. Larry brings ten years of experience in adult education and as former President of CAACE, he has an in-depth understanding of the organization's strengths and weaknesses. Larry will be retiring as current Director of Bristol Adult Education effective August 31, 2023, and officially begins his new position September 1, 2023.
“I am really excited to have this opportunity to pursue my passion for adult education and for being able to bring all of the great things happening in Connecticut to the national stage.” Covino said. “I look forward to working with all of our programs and collaborating with our CSDE partners.”
