Passage - Paul Dillon, Dilfo Mechanical
Paul Dillon of Dilfo Mechanical passed away October 18, 2021 at the age of 84.

Paul was a true gentleman and a leader in the mechanical contracting community having started Dilfo Mechanical 40 years ago with his partner Edgar Fournier.

Paul was on the OCA Board of Directors in the late 1990s followed years later by son Danny who became Chair of OCA in 2020.

In memoriam, donations may be made to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation as this was Paul's charity of choice.

Chairman Ray Shannon and his wife Susan wish to invite all members and their partners to the OCA's Annual Christmas Gala.
 
The Gala will be a different but still a fantastic 1st class dining and entertainment experience this year as COVID19 masking requirements motivated OCA to pivot from a band with dancing to presenting 3 top comedians.
 
With the recently announced lifting of gathering limits OCA is increasing the number of available tables to accommodate 400 in the Chateau Laurier Ballroom. Please note that all attendees must be double vaccinated and provide proof.
 
Throughout the evening the adjoining Laurier Room will be open for people to mingle with other guests and network while seated. A fun photo-booth experience will be available as well.
 
Cost per person is $225 or $1,800 for table of 8.
 
NOTE - The OCA online registration platform will only accept registrations for a table of 8. If you wish to order a table of 10 or less than 8 please email our event coordinator Angela Trimstra at events@oca.ca

August 25-28, 2022 LPGA CP Women's Golf Open
OCA Private Lodge
OCA has created with Golf Canada an exclusive private OCA Lodge for members to watch the August 25-28, 2022 CN Women's Open at the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club.

The Lodge is a private tented area at the 17th par 3 hole. It will be an excellent vantage point to watch the best women golfers in the world with your clients or valued team members or friends among fellow OCA members. Imagine Brooke Henderson coming to the 17th hole on the final day competing for the win!

We have a hold presently for a tent sized for 30 as pictured below BUT we have the option to expand in multiples of 10 up to 100.
The pricing for 1 Ticket is $1,700 ($450 deposit now and $1,250 invoiced in May 2022) which covers:
  • Access daily from Thursday to Sunday (no practice rounds)
  • All-inclusive food & beverage (YES that covers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages)
  • Private washroom facilities
  • Closed circuit TV viewing

Note: Each ticket is fully transferable until they are scanned on the day of the event. Similar to most sporting events if someone has a client who cannot attend they they can easily email the ticket to another recipient.
