President's Message

April 20-26, 2025, is National Volunteer Week, dedicated to celebrating the impact of volunteer service on our communities! I always enjoy highlighting and thanking our awesome Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors who volunteer their time and talents to help the Chamber accomplish its mission.

Ambassadors are essential members of the Chamber team, and they are making a difference in our community every day! Thanks also to the companies and organizations they represent for allowing them time to participate in Chamber activities that support our business community.

Be sure to thank those who volunteer throughout our community and let them know their service is noticed and appreciated!

Leadership Lancaster

Our Leadership Lancaster class had an incredible City-County Government Day on Wednesday, April 9th!

The day kicked off in the Lancaster County Council Chambers with updates from County Administrator Dennis Marstall and Council Chairman Brian Carnes. Discussions focused on county growth, the budgeting process, and a hands-on Transportation Sales Tax Referendum Prioritization exercise.

The class also toured the courthouse with Clerk of Court Mike Watkins and participated in a Q&A about our local judicial system!

In the afternoon, the City of Lancaster hosted us for conversations with Mayor Alston DeVenny and City Administrator Flip Hutfles. City Department Directors shared engaging presentations about their vital roles and the exciting initiatives happening across the city.

We’re grateful for the dedicated public servants who work every day to help make Lancaster County a great place to live, work, and do business!
