ACEC OKLAHOMA members, thank you for your participation in our annual ODOT/ACEC Partnering Conference.

We had nearly 500 attendees and welcomed special visitors, Jim & Nancy Sullins. Jim gave 33 years to ACEC OKLAHOMA and we appreciate his dedication to this organization. He told me earlier this week he appreciated us bringing him back and seeing all of his friends.

Any company who has not paid their registration fees has been invoiced again and please remit payment.

A Special thanks to Senator Lankford, Chad Wilkerson, Secretary Gatz, and all ODOT/OTA staff who spoke or helped make this event a success.

Next Big Event: Going forward, we have the ACEC Fall Conference in Colorado which is open to our membership. The event, held at the Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs Oct 16-19, should be a festive get away and prime opportunity for networking, exchange and learning. You can register here.

Election: November Elections are upcoming! Please remember to vote and pay attention to the candidates who are supportive of ACEC OKLAHOMA initiatives.

From a statewide perspective, according to multiple public polls, the race for Governor and Superintendent of Public Instruction should be very close. You can view these surveys here. From a federal perspective, all of Oklahoma Congressional and US Senate Seats are rated "Safe Republican" by the Cook Political Report. You can view each seats rating here.

Most critically, there are multiple close legislative races you should follow that could flip. Twenty-eight incumbent house and senator members are facing a General Election challenge while there are ten open seat races that will be decided in November. Urban seats might prove challenging for Republicans to hold and it's very possible Democrats could gain state legislative seats in metro OKC and Tulsa.
