"Celebrating Christ, Loving All Persons"

It is Maundy Thursday tomorrow and we will gather at the Tauber Center, 2211 N Richmond, for worship at 6pm. NO meal. It is always good to hear the stories of this night and to share in communion. Folks from Immanuel and St John will unite for this service.

Easter will finally arrive and we will share Breakfast at 8:00 and combined worship at 9:30. If you usually join us on Facebook Live, notice the time change! Matthew Bray will play trumpet and the Bell Choir will have two pieces. It is going to be a great day!

Thinking of you all during this time of renewal and transformation! I hope to see you here this Sunday and to celebrate new life once again.

Peace,

Pastor

Fr. Richard Rohr has written a wonderful book on aging. FALLING UPWARD has been suggested as a possible time for exploration and sharing on the topic of aging. These sessions will be in-person and offered on a day and time that most can participate. Let me know if you are interested and we will get this group going.

The May meeting is scheduled for May 1, 2025, at the Tauber Family Center at 1 PM. Our speaker will be LuAnn Wickeham from Habitat for Humanity of the Fox Valley. All are invited to learn more about our community.

There is a need in our community for food donations. Just a reminder that we are continuing to gather food donations for the St. Joseph Food Program on Sunday mornings. Your donations make a difference! Thank you!

The St. John Church Council made a decision to donate $1000 to the Boys & Girls Club of the Fox Valley on behalf of our congregation. In addition to this donation, St. John UCC is also looking for the donation of the following items to benefit their Youth and Family Counseling program. Thank you!

St. John UCC is collecting needed items for HeadsUp. Please see the below lists for items that you can bring in on Sunday morning.

HeadsUp is a forward-thinking organization that actively supports Transitional Age Youth who have experienced the challenges of the child welfare system. We prioritize their specific needs and obstacles, offering comprehensive assistance and fostering a nurturing environment for their personal development and achievement. Our passionate team, led by Lived Experience, empowers and advocates for each young adult, ensuring they have access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed in their transition to adulthood.

You are invited!

Thank you for bringing hope and faith to our community! We are excited to invite you to be a part of Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity’s Annual Faith Build. This initiative goes beyond building homes – it’s about building hope, fostering unity, and turning faith into loving action.

This year, we aim to unite over 18 faith communities to help make a family’s dream of homeownership a reality. Your involvement – whether through your time, talent, or treasure is crucial. By joining us, you’ll be demonstrating the true power of faith in action and making a lasting impact.

We invite you to take that step with us and help build a brighter future today!

Join us on Saturday, May 3rd at 8:30 am at the Machine Shed Restaurant in Appleton to learn about this upcoming project and how you and your faith group can be involved.

Please RSVP before Friday, April 25th to let us know you’ll be joining us!

We’re excited to share that three faith partners have generously offered $80,000 in a match campaign for this year’s Faith Build, doubling your impact. Let’s unite as instruments of God’s love, offering hope by providing a home, and demonstrating our faith through acts of kindness and compassion.

Blessings,
