We have officially launched the Port Orchard History Walking Tour!


The walking tour is a series of signs around downtown Port Orchard that represents the city since before its incorporation with a short pictorial history of early Port Orchard. 


Come downtown, find our 16 signs, scan the QR code... and take trip down memory lane!

Washington State Small Business Fair

The Washington State Small Business Fair, also known as Biz Fair, is returning September 23, 2023.


Biz Fair is a free, annual event for current and aspiring small business owners to learn about the programs, resources, and technical assistance available to help start and grow a small business.

Biz Fair is the longest running all government and non-profit-run small business fair in Washington State. There will be events in two locations on the same day:

Small Business Outreach Contracts

To make it easier for small businesses to learn about L&I requirements and resources, L&I contracts with business-connected organizations around Washington State. These outreach partners act as trusted messengers, providing information and education to Washington's many, diverse small businesses.


L&I’s Small Business Office expects to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) in mid-July 2023, with proposals due in mid-August.



It is anticipated that 15 – 30 contracts totaling approximately $1.8 million will be awarded for the period September 2023 through June 2025.

Bikes For All


This event showcases adaptive bikes for local youth and adults with mobility, sensory and other disabilities.

Drop in for free demos and trial rides September 9th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds Sheep Barn: 120 NW Fairgrounds Road, Bremerton.


Registration is not required and walk-ins are welcome. Timeslots to take adaptive bikes on trial rides can be reserved in advance by completing the Outdoors for All liability form. Once the form is received, registrants will be contacted by Outdoors for All to confirm a timeslot.

Bring your own helmet or borrow one at the event. Water and light snacks will be available for participants.
