Principal's Message:

We had an amazing week of learning and fun at Roosevelt High School with our Operation Holiday Basket, door decorating, and fundraising.

Operation Holiday Basket was started in 1969 by a teacher and track coach named Freeman McInroy , known lovingly as "Mac." Every year, OHB feeds hundreds of families in our community. This year, 300 baskets full of food were delivered to neighbors.

Our tradition continues thanks in large part to the hard work of our alumni, students, and staff, in particular, Christol Schultz. Thank you for all your hard work in keeping this time-honored tradition alive. For pictures and videos of our fun, take a look on Roosevelt social media.

I hope this much-needed break offers some rest and relaxation for you and your family and I look forward to seeing you all return healthy and strong in 2022.

Speaking of 2022, parents who may remember The Jetsons, George Jetson was born in the year 2022. The future is right around the corner.

I will see you all in the future,

Mr. Ledesma

This year the South & Roosevelt Nordic Ski Team is fundraising with Simpls, a Minneapolis company that makes amazing scratch-made food using local, organic and sustainable ingredients. In addition to their yummy soups and sides, they have added pizzas! This fundraiser is 100% contact-free. They’ve made it super easy for everyone, and the frozen food gets delivered right to your doorstep within two business days. Gift packs also count towards our fundraiser!

Simply go to their website: www.simpls.com and place an order of $30 or more, enter the promo code at checkout: NORDICSKI21. Orders of $60 or more qualify for free shipping.

For every order that you place between 11/19/21 - 12/19/21, we earn a portion of the sales! You can use the promo code as many times as you like during the fundraising period. This flyer here: Simpls Delicious Foods highlights all the fan favorites and how to order!

Thank you for supporting TnT Nordic!
REPEATS
Instead of going to amazon.com, go to smile.amazon.com. Register and select Minneapolis Theodore Roosevelt High School Foundation as your charity. Each time you shop at smile.amazon the Foundation will receive a small percentage of your purchase.

By doing this you are helping give scholarships to Roosevelt students and grants to staff without it costing you a penny?

You just have to remember to go to smile.amazon.com instead of Amazon…..same merchandise, same prices, same service. Thank YOU!

If you have questions before that, please email Christol.Schultz@mpls.k12.mn.us.

If your student is doing their hours OUTSIDE of the school, please have them send in a paper that is signed, dated and phone number listed for the organization or person that they helped.
