Happy Thanksgiving!
Dear Families,
Thanksgiving is right around the corner. As we reflect on the many things for which we are thankful, I want to share a few of mine with you. I am thankful for our students who come to school every day, ready to learn. They give us a daily reminder of what is important and why we are here. I am thankful for the support of the parents in creating a wonderful partnership with us. I am thankful for Fr. Peter, Fr. Behling, Mrs. Nordstrom - our school secretary, the teachers and staff, our maintenance crew, the parish staff, and of course, St. Mary’s parishioners, who without their generosity St. Mary’s school would not be possible. I am also thankful for our volunteers who enthusiastically contribute so much to our school. There are so many people who work behind the scenes on a daily basis to make this a wonderful place. Not a day goes by that I am not amazed how God is working through all of us so that his voice can be heard. I witness random acts of kindness all day. I am thankful to be here at St. Mary’s and be a part of this loving community. My life is better because of all of you!
Thank you to all who contributed to the Thanksgiving Drive. We were able to purchase Pick and Save gift cards for those in need this holiday season.
Thank you as well to all who have submitted the re-enrollment questionnaire form. As we begin to plan for next year, we need to know at this early date the number of available seats we have in each grade level. Existing families who register and make the non-refundable payment can be assured of their child/children's placement for the 2023-24 school year. See the School Office Notes for more information.
A couple of reminders for the upcoming week:
-
Students only have school next Monday, November 21st, before the Thanksgiving break.
- Conferences are Monday. November 21st, 4:00 - 8:00pm and Tuesday, November 22nd, 8:00 - 11:00am
- If you indicated on the sign-up that you would like to do a virtual conference, your child’s classroom teacher will send out the conference link for you by Monday.
-
There will be no Virtual Backpack next week.
Finally, when we come back from Thanksgiving vacation, it will be the first week of Advent. This year our theme will be ”Seeking Our Savior this Advent”. Please click here to see all the wonderful things we will be doing to celebrate Advent this year. See also the activities you may wish to do at home in this flyer.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Blessings,
