PROVIDING RELIEF
Veteran and military-connected students continue to serve communities impacted by Hurricane Ian
Members of the USF veteran and military-connected community continue to step up - through clean up efforts, distributing essential supplies and cooking food - to serve communities in need after the impacts from Hurricane Ian. “To be able to help out in that way was rewarding,” said Ammon Bradford, president of the USF Student Veterans Association. “It didn’t feel like work, felt more like an opportunity to create some kind of change.” (Photo by Cassandra Vieira/U.S. Army National Guard)

TOOLS TO LEARN
Education and Physics faculty team up to develop augmented reality simulations to enhance physics education
From gravity to electromagnetism, the study of physics includes some of the most challenging concepts to grasp. Faculty from USF’s Education and Physics departments are working to help students better visualize such complicated theories through the use of augmented reality technology.
TRACKING CLIMATE IMPACTS
USF team selected by NOAA for award to support marine sanctuaries
A project led by researchers at USF's College of Marine Science have been selected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Climate Program Office to support the management of marine sanctuaries and national monuments in a changing climate. The research will improve the understanding of climate variability and change on protected aquatic resources, and improve information about climate for management planning.
