The University has completed installations of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) in all residence halls to include all buildings at Deacon Place. Learn more on the EHS website.
AEDs are most successful when their first shock is delivered within three to four minutes of sudden cardiac arrest onset. Because of this, AEDs are installed in many accessible and visible locations throughout campus. These units are extremely user-friendly and can be used effectively by the layperson. Any student interested in training should contact James Perrott in Deacon Health at perrotja@wfu.edu.
