We rejoiced with Alexia Miller in her baptism this past Sunday! It is exciting that God continues to stir the waters! We had a great crowd in both services, and I appreciate so much the wonderful job the choir did in leading us in worship through song.
The Hoppers were awesome Sunday evening! It was good to see the Sanctuary full of God’s people, singing along and worshipping Him. Although RPBC was well represented, most of those who come to these Southern Gospel concerts we have hosted are from other churches, many of them driving an hour or more to be here. Over the course of the past couple of years their faces are becoming familiar to me. I know they enjoy the music, but God’s people want to be where His Spirit is moving. That is true for Gospel concerts, worship services, or any activity at His house. If people are drawn by personalities or secular excitement, it will soon dwindle. But, the fire of God cannot be extinguished! Thank you RPBC for hosting and supporting these important events! And thank you RPBC for being a spirit-filled, God worshipping people Sunday after Sunday!
Don’t forget our Saturate event this Saturday! We will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 7:30am for donuts, coffee, juice, and milk. We will receive our instructions and pick up our door-hanging packets, and then SATURATE our neighborhood! For those who don’t already have a door-hanging partner, we will put you in teams. This is a great opportunity for whole families to participate! All of our routes are streets in the neighborhoods surrounding our church. You will get to be a part of placing a Jesus Film dvd, a Gospel tract, and information about our church on the doorknob of approximately 640 homes! Folks, if 100 people show up Saturday, we will be done before your coffee gets cold!
